CZECH FOUSEK

CZECH FOUSEK

Pattern entered in the FCI register under the number 245 (21. V. 1963 r.)

Before the First World War, the Czech fousek was the most popular wire-haired pointer in what is now Czechoslovakia. The war and its aftermath caused great losses in its population, so that by the mid-1920s it was almost extinct. Therefore, the restoration of this breed began. Several typical specimens were used for this, from which today's Czech fouska was bred. Currently, this breed is in second place in terms of the number of hunting breeds in Czechoslovakia.

General impression. Sprawia wrażenie wytrwałego i silnego psa.

Head. Dry, nieco wąska i długa, wysoko osadzona. Kufa trochę dłuższa od mózgowiowej części głowy, a grzbiet nosa nieco wysklepiony (carbonos). Nos szeroki z rozwartymi i bardzo wrażliwymi nozdrzami. Barwa nosa zawsze ciemnobrązowa. Kufa miernie zwężająca się od oczu ku końcowi, Fafle średnio rozwinięte, tight fitting, górne nieznacznie obwisłe. Policzki wyraźnie zaznaczone i dobrze umięśnione. Teeth strong, complete. Scissor bite. Moderate leading edge, ale wyraźnie zaznaczona. Czoło w górnej partii i ciemię miernie wysklepione i nieznacznie zaokrąglone, u psów nieco szersze niż u suk. Well developed supracranial arches, dają wrażenie kanciastości głowy i tworzą głębokie oczodoły. Guz potyliczny nieznacznie wyczuwalny. Oczy kształtu migdałów, about mild, ale bystrym spojrzeniu,, deeply seated, dark amber to dark chestnut. Lids tightly fitting, well developed, dark gray. Ears set high, with a wide base, clearly tapering towards the end, moderately rounded at the ends, close to the head and covering 2/3 cheek.

Neck. The average length, well muscled, but dry and set high. Neck moderately bent.

Torso. Chest with shoulder blade viewed from the front - lyre shape. Oval chest, a width in proportion to the entire torso; its lower part (parapet) it reaches at least to the elbow joint, well developed. Mostek oglądany z boku wystaje wyraźnie ku przodowi. Żebra wysklepione i proporcjonalnie uszeregowane. Withers clearly marked, Short back. Loins short, stosunkowo szerokie i miernie wysklepione. Brzuch nieco podciągnięty, ale nie sprawiający wrażenia chudości. Zad miernie spadzisty, dość szeroki i odpowiednio długi.

Front limbs. Łopatki dobrze umięśnione i ukośne osadzone; z ramionami tworzą kąty rozwarte. Łokieć mocny, dobrze uścięgniony. Podramię pionowe, simple, o wyrazistym suchym umięśnieniu. Pasterns relatively short, almost vertical and only slightly pointing forward. Lugs shaped like a blunt spoon, with well arched and fully closed toes, equipped with strong, darker or black claws. Pads (heels) high and springy (firm), completely pigmented. There is a residual fluid membrane between the fingers.

Hindquarters. Pelvis of the right length. Thighs broad with well-developed muscles. Lower thigh inclined towards the back and so angulated, to allow smooth gait. Hock joint not too high, dry, with a long, barely sticking out heel. Metatarsus almost vertical, short and sufficiently strong. Same paws as the front paws. Dewclaws, if any, must be removed.

Tail. So embedded, so that it forms an extension of the back line. Medium thick. Cropped on 2/3 length. Carried horizontally or only slightly raised.

Robe. There are three types of hair in the robe. Soft and thick down hair (undergrowth) length 1,5 cm, preventing water penetration into the skin (they almost completely molt in summer). 3–4 cm long, hard and flexible cover hair, tightly to the undercoat. 5–7 cm long, hard and straight bristles. The entire torso is covered with such hair, which is especially clearly visible on the forechest, on the back, on flanks and shoulder blades. On the front side of the legs, the hair is shorter and more flexible, and on the back side it is longer, arranging in the so-called. feather. The so-called. brush on the lower side of the tail. At the bottom of the cheeks and on the lips, there is longer and softer hair, forming a beard typical for this breed. Expressive eyebrows, z włosem skierowanym skośnie ku górze. Czoło, ciemię, potylica i policzki pokryte włosem krótkim, elastycznym, uszy — krótkim, lecz miękkim i przylegającym.

Ointment. Ciemnodropiata z brązowymi łatami lub bez łat; brązowa z oszronieniem przedpiersia i dolnych partii przednich nóg albo jednolicie brązowa, bez jakichkolwiek znaczeń.
