KARELSKO-FINNISH LAYKA

Ta rasa psa myśliwskiego leśnej strefy karelskiej Rosji — leningradzkiego i sąsiednich okręgów wytworzona została z mieszańców miejscowych łajek (ołonieckiej i karelskiej), krzyżowanych z fińską łajką ptasią.

Head. Viewed from above - wedge-shaped with a not wide occipital part. The length of the facial part is clearly shorter than that of the brain. The leading edge, parietal crest and occipital tumor poorly marked. Sharp muzzle profile, wedge-shaped. The bridge of the nose is parallel to the frontal line. Lips thin, search, tight fitting, not saggy. The ears are small, standing, busy, in the shape of an elongated triangle, with sharp ends. The eyes are small, dark beer or hazel, not popped in, but not convex, with an oval and moderately oblique shape of the eyelids.

Torso. Deep chest, slightly flattened; goes to the elbows and below. Withers well developed, clearly convex above the back line. Straight back, wide, muscular. Loins broad, short, well muscled. Croup wide, short, almost horizontal. The belly is clearly tucked up (the transition of the chest to the abdomen is pronounced).

Front limbs. Straight and parallel when viewed from the front. The shoulder joint forms an angle of 90-100 °. Strong elbows, directed decidedly backwards. Straight forearm. Pasterns slightly sloping.

Hindquarters. Straight and parallel when viewed from behind, set slightly wider than the front ones. Well angulated when viewed from the side. Long drumstick. The hocks are almost vertical and short. Round paws, with slightly elongated middle fingers. Fingers close to each other.

Tail. Wrapped in a ring, carried on the back, or snug against the hip. Sickle cell is acceptable. It reaches up to the ankle joint or is 1-2 cm shorter.

Robe. Adherent skin, thin, no folds. The coat is thick, hard, straight. Dense undercoat, soft, lush. Short hair on the head and ears, longer on the withers - creates, especially in dogs, a small ruff. Limbs covered with short, hard, compact, hair. Na tylnych nogach wyraźnie wykształcone portki. Ogon owłosiony mniej lub bardziej równomiernie, ale na dolnej stronie włos wyraźnie dłuższy. Łapy pokryte krótkim, twardym włosem.

Ointment. Ruda wszelkich odcieni. Dopuszczalne białe znaki na kufie, breasts, belly, nogach i koniuszku ogona. Małe cętki w tonie ogólnego umaszczenia dopuszczalne na głowie i nogach. Black nose, u psów jasnobrązowych dopuszczalny jasnobrązowy.
