CAUCASIAN SHEPHERD

CAUCASIAN SHEPHERD

Caucasian Shepherds are very hardy, have low requirements and easy adaptation to various climatic conditions. They are mainly found in the Soviet Union (republic: Georgian, Armenian, Azerbaijani, autonomous Asian republics: Kabardino-Balkan, Dagestani, Kalmyk and the steppe areas of the North Caucasus and the Astrakhan district). There are heavier type dogs in Transcaucasia, and in the steppe regions lighter, high-legged, often short-haired.
